High-torso Chaire
“Kitano Katatsuki” may be the most highly evaluated Chaire among the tea ceremonies owned by the Mitsui family. Although the height is relatively high, the torso part draws a curve moderately and it may be good to say that it is a tea entrance without feeling intimidating feeling.
A Tiny Story
It was used in “Kitano Ocha-no-yu” held by Hideyoshi, and it came to be called “Kitano Katatsuki” because it caught the eye of Hideyoshi. By the way, before being called “Kitano” it seems that it was said that “Karasumaru” was said. It is interesting that the name changes.
